Property Prices In Spain What Can I Buy

The Spanish property market has always been appealing to both investors and people looking for a holiday home in the sun or with plans to move to Spain.  Therefore we are always asked about Property Prices in Spain What Can I Buy compared to maybe their home country and town.

Ever since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, clients have been wondering and asking us, Will Property Prices Drop in Spain afetr Coronavirus?  As this BLOG is not specifically about the future of the Spanish property market, we will assume that should there be any impact on property prices that they may well change by approximately the same amount or % in each country.  For the purpose of this BLOG article, we are simply trying to answer a comparison in Property Prices in Spain What Can I Buy?

Today I was looking at a number of new and luxurious properties for sale on our website and started to wonder how the price would compare to the average price of property in London.  You can easily view the average property price in the U.K via various Blogs and articles from top-portal Rightmove (others are available).  

Let's take a look at a couple of properties currently for sale along the Costa Blanca with Zebra Homes real estate Guardamar and see the comparision you can buy for the same money....

Ref: ZH0045  -  A new modern 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, large terrace & solarium with stunning views, set around large communal pool and gardens and set along the Orihuela Costa - from ONLY 189.900€

Based on todays GBP v EUR exchange rates, this would equate to approx. to £170,000 - well you couldn't come anywhere close to buying any kind of flat or apartment for sale in London for this price.  I looked to my home town of Hemel Hempstead to find the average price for similar properties are closer to £200,000.  We all know location is key when buying a property but (as a comparison) I found a number of properties for this price (and lower) for sale in the East Anglia town of Norwich.

Let's now take a look at something bigger.....

Ref: ZH0083 - A range of Luxury Villas with Mountain views for sale in Polop (just 15 minutes from Benidorm). Set in an elevated position offering stunning views.  All this for just 580.000€ (or £520,000)  -  As per ZOOPLA the average pirce for flats in London cost £544,250.  Which would you prefer?
