What is the latest travel advice from the UK governement about travelling to Spain?

The recently amendmed parliamentary legislation has now listed a number of valid reasons for potential buyers from the UK looking to buy a property in Spain and it is welcome news for real estate agents in Guardamar del Segura like Zebra Homes and for many more along the Costa Blanca.

SCHEDULE 5 - Regulation 8 (paragraph 7) is the amended paragraphs (of a very long Parliamentary document) that is specific to covering these reasons..

So, How can I now travel to Spain when looking to buy a property?

Here you find the updated legislation in its entirety:

7. Where it is reasonably necessary for P (person) to leave the United Kingdom to undertake any of the following activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting or rental of a residential property—

(a) visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes;
(b) viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or to rent;
(c) preparing a residential property to move in;
(d) moving house;
(e) to visit a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property.

NOTE - Travellers will still have to show a negative PCR result from a test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival.

When will travel to Spain from UK re-open?

Starting Monday 29th March, the UK’s travel restrictions will change (based on these new reasons to travel and starting next Tuesday 30th March, the Spanish government will be lifting restrictions on flights from the UK!
