Kitchen

Bathrooms

De-clutter and throw away those half-empty shampoo bottles, clear ledges of sun-cream and after-sun and  give the bathroom a really good clean. Put out some clean towels and check those mirrors are sparkling clean!

Light and space

Clean all windows and patio doors and keep the curtains drawn back and shutters & blinds up to allow as much light in as possible. Depending on what time of day the viewing is, uplighters in the lounge maybe a good idea as these will bounce light off the ceiling. Using high wattage bulbs in the hall entrance and bathroom will also add some extra light in these areas.

Clear away clutter

Start in the entrance, put away those beach-inflatables, towels, shoes & flip-flops. You can place them in a cupboard or storage room. Consider adding a nice bunch of flowers in the entrance or invest in an automatic room spray, this will provide a lovely aroma when potential clients first visit your property.

Remove any unnecessary furniture. A laundry basket behind the bathroom door for example, is not a good idea, the route around your property should be free from any obstruction!
