Buying Property In Spain And When Can I Return To Spain

We bring you a further update today (due to recent talk in the Spanish press) about buying property in Spain and when can i return to Spain again...?

We covered this (a little) last week in our BLOG when can I visit Spain again to buy a property? Things were changing and progressing each week and we have come quite a long way from the initial BLOG Can I Still Buy Property in Spain During Coronavirus restrictions?

Just yesterday, it has been suggested by the minister of Transport that tourist activity can be restarted at the end of June stating that as soon as we are able to see Spanish residents travelling between the various provinces, Spain will allow foreign visitors to enter the country freely.  Remember that the current 14 day Quarantine for inbound visitors only implies until the end of the current State of Alarm.  This was due to end on 24th May but the governemnt are seeking one final extension of an addition month to cover the de-escalation process where (at the end) Spain should be 're-open' for business albeit under 'the new normal'.  You can read more about this via the El País news article.

So, based on this recent update, we hope to answer the on-going question regarding buying property in Spain and when can i return to Spain again...?  I think we could be safe to say that from 1st July (if not before) Spain will welcome back visitors as we try to continue some normality throughout the summer.  However, this may vary from country to country depending on their current level of alarm and if their own government allow them to travel and return without a quarantine period.

So, I guess now, we are seeing positive signs but must continue to 'watch the space' to see an exact return date to Spain.
