Spanish Property Market Life After Coronavirus
It seems a long time since we first faced the initial lock down back in March but as we get back to #TheNewNormal we are now hearing from clients and owners about the spanish property market life after coronavirus.
Before Covid-19 changed the world as we know it; the spanish property market continued to show growth and the demand for properties in Spain was as high as it had been for some time (long after the financial crisis and the ill-fated 'BREXIT' word).
With most of the world under some form (if not total) lock down during much of March, April and May, it wasn't until late June 2020 that Spain started to phase-out from the restrictions in place due to the pandemic. We slowly started to have some form of (new) freedom; we could exercise outside, meet friends for a drink on the terrace and slowly shops and businesses re-opened under tight controls.
Since ealry July, borders re-opened and flights were available once again for our clients and owners to return to their properties and to start their search for a dream place in the sun.
Many of our network of agents working in the area have seen a sharp increase in the number of clients visiting and buying property in Guardamar, Quesada and along the Costa Blanca.
New builds continue 'in-demand' and many builders & promotors are seeing a continued level of demand as many people are now re-evaluating their futures away from the city and to find a dream home in Spain to escape to from any possible future outbreak of the coronavirus.
The short answer is, whilst many people may fear (or, even want) a drop in prices, at this current time, it is not a pattern we are seeing. Some clients maybe dropping their price to reflect the 'true' market-value and benefit from the influx of more clients at this time.
